Colour: Super fine silver glitter and silver circle glitter in a clear base.

Coats: 1-2 coats over any polish. In the pictures I am wearing 2 coats over 2 coats of “Don’t Touch My Tutu”

Pros: This is a really pretty polish on its own or as a top coat over any polish. It can be so soft and delicate looking but also really cool over darker polishes! I like that after wearing a polish for a few days I can add this over top and change the effect. This is the closest glitter I have to being professional looking and I had no trouble removing this polish.

Cons: When I tried to wear this polish on its own, I had to really glob it on so it took a long time to dry. Also since it has a clear base, your nail line will still be visible.

Similar Shades: OPI “Crown Me Already” is made up entirely of the same silver foil circles as Pirouette My Whistle for a more high impact look instead of just a top coat.

I Don’t Give A Rotterdam!

Name: I Don’t Give A Rotterdam!

Collection: Holland 2012

Colour: Blue-grey with Silver Shimmer

Coats: 2 - 3

Pros: This blue provides a happy medium for daily polish wearers, as you can finally wear blue without it being too bold for a professional setting or so understated that it is boring. I think it looks really pretty and classic. Also up close this polish looks kind of like a DS for the price of a regular collection colour!

Cons: The grey undertones may not be flattering on all skin tones and are hard to spot when when you just hold the bottle up to your skin, so watch out for this one!

Similar Shades: This shade is almost identical to “ I Have A Herring Problem”, which is also from the Holland Collection. However, this collection hasn’t been released yet, so in the mean time you can try “Suzi Says Feng Shui” for a deeper blue-grey crème.

Collection: 2011 Holiday Muppets Collection

Colour: Silver foil with copper highlights

Coats: 2

Pros: A dynamic metallic that combines silver and copper shimmer. Looks amazing in the sun as the polish’s multifaceted metallic lights up showing its silky, smooth dimension.

Cons: Very gloopy application that slid to the edge of the nail and had to be removed. It also dented and smudged very easily so I needed to patch it up a few times.

Similar Shades: "DS Radiance" is also a silver foil but does not have the added copper shimmer while “Your Royal Shine-ness” adds silver glitter to a silver foil.
