Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!

Name: Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!

Collection: German 2012

Colour: Deep moss green base with grey, black, navy and brown undertone (Very hard to describe!)

Coats: 1-2

Pros: This is a truly unique and constantly changing colour. As I moved through different lighting during the day, I saw various dark “military” shades like army green and dark navy. I didn’t have much extra time between classes to apply more than one coat so I was impressed with its coverage and fast drying time. I usually find dark polishes flat and boring but I like this polish because it plays with a mix of really interesting tones.

Cons: The only complaint I have is that I had to touch this polish up quite a few times over the days I was wearing it as the tips chipped really badly.

Similar Shades: If you are a fan of this colour, I suggest you check out the darker shades in OPI’s Touring America Collection from last year or “Here Today Argon Tomorrow” which is a darker, very deep green.

Get In the ‘Expresso’ Lane

Name: Get In the ‘Expresso’ Lane

Collection: Touring America

Colour: Dark Coffee Brown

Coats: 2

Pros: A smooth and creamy high gloss polish that is a nice alternative to black. It was super easy to apply and there were no streaks.

Cons: A bit muddy for my taste also a little boring for a dark polishes. I also dislike that there are some weird green undertones that can make this look murky in some lights.

Similar Shades: “Here Today Argon Tomorrow” is a deep green that is also high patent but goes on darker. “Suzi Loves Cowboys” is a more true chocolate brown that is warmer, but still a glossy crème.

French Quarter for Your Thoughts

Name: French Quarter for Your Thoughts

Collection: Touring America

Colour: Steel Grey Creme

Coats: 2

Pros: Very easy to apply and super sophisticated so it’s ideal for a professional setting.

Cons: Honestly I took this colour off after one day because I was just so bored with it. I prefer silver if im anywhere in the grey spectrum.

Similar Shades: “Suzi Takes The Wheel” is more of a green grey that is easier to wear because its less harsh.

Are We There Yet?

Name: Are We There Yet?

Collection: Touring America

Colour: Coral Creme

Coats: 3

Pros: The luxurious crème formula is easy to apply. There is a tiny amount of micro-shimmer that really makes this colour pop even more. I also love that there is a mix of pink in with the orange that compliments my skin tone and softens the harshness of the orange.

Cons: Took 3 coats and I was still able to see a bit of nail. I am not a big fan of oranges so this would not be a colour I would usually reach for because it’s too bright. I also wish the micro-shimmer was more pronounced because it adds a fun feminine touch.

Similar shades: “Melon or Troy” is a lighter, shimmery pastel coral that is better for summer while “Chop-Stickin To My Story” is a deeper, pumpkin orange, best for autumn or winter.

Honk If You Love OPI

Name: Honk If You Love OPI

Collection: Touring America

Colour: Dark Grape Purple

Coats: 2

Pros: Great quality brush makes this high gloss colour easy to apply. Nice for people looking for a dynamic dark shade that is not your typical black.

Cons: I was disappointed to find that this polish dulled over time and wore away at the tips. Sometimes this dramatic purple shade looks too dark and can appear black.

Similar Shades: OPI "Lincoln Park After Dark" is also a deep purple but has more prominent wine undertones. OPI "Siberian Nights" is really close to "Honk If You Love OPI"
