Danke-Shiny Red

Name: Danke-Shiny Red

Collection: Germany 2012

Colour: Rich, Rosy Red with Frosty Finish

Coats: 2

Pros: I know it’s a bit early but this polish’s lovely, frosty red that is perfect for the upcoming holiday season. The deep red with rosy undertones makes your nails look like ripe berries on a holly branch. I had no problem applying this polish and any bits on the side came off without any hassle or staining. I chose to say two coats for this polish because although it comes out as a gorgeous pinky red after one coat, it barely lasted an hour before it chipped away.

Cons: Unfortunately, it’s really flakey at the tips.

Similar Shades: Danke-Shiny Red is very similar to “Cha-Ching Cherry” but has just a bit more red in it.

Red Lights Ahead… Where?

Name: Red Lights Ahead… Where?

Collection: Holland 2012

Colour: Orangey Red

Coats: 2 - 3

Pros: A bright and punchy red with an exciting twist of orange. It’s a bit thin and messy so I had to clean up the edges a bit, but it turned out with smooth gloss finish. This is a great colour for those of you who want to transition into orange shades without being too bold.

Cons: I prefer true reds instead of ones with orange in them. Also, even after 3 coats, the polish on the tips of my nails flaked really easily.

Similar Shades: Almost identical to “OPI on Collins Ave” from the South Beach and “Monsooner or Later” from the India Collection.
